The Imperfect Alchemist Blog Tour recently wrapped up! Here’s what reviewers had to say:
Day One – Madeleine of ramblingmads
An incredibly engaging and intelligent book. Naomi Miller adds flesh to the bones of Mary’s life, illuminating this fascinating woman and bringing her brilliantly to life.
Day Two – Juliet of Bookliterati
Imperfect Alchemist is an erudite and seductive read. Naomi Miller really brings this fascinating young woman to life. I loved reading this book, the perfect blend of fact and fiction with a strong female lead, a fabulous start to a new series.
Day Three – Cathy of What Cathy Read Next
In three words: Immersive, authentic, fascinating! Naomi Miller transforms historical fact into the engrossing story of a remarkable woman who was clearly ahead of her time.
Day Four – Julie of Bookish Jottings
A beautifully crafted and brilliantly evocative tale … a fantastic historical novel that effortlessly brings the past to colourful and astonishing life. Naomi Miller is a talented storyteller who draws her readers into her richly textured and wonderfully nuanced story from the very beginning and keeps them mesmerized.
Day Five – Jo of Jaffa Reads Too
Beautifully written and extensively researched, Imperfect Alchemist … brings the life of Mary Sidney Herbert into sharp focus, giving her, at last, a voice to be heard. The author brings this rather formidable female to life in an intelligent and thought-provoking way.
Day Six – Mariana of October Moon Blog
Such a lovely and well-crafted story! One of the best points was how the author conveyed the quieter but extremely powerful strength of all of the female characters. I loved the references and descriptions of all sorts of art. It felt so enlightening and captivating reading about it! I think this has become my “read this if you’re an old soul” recommendation!
